we design with the earth in mind to create art-forward florals that respect the Mojave Desert.

We are an LGBTQIA+ woman-owned studio built to celebrate this desert without leaving a footprint behind. Posy Laboratory was created to give couples, event hosts, and visitors a thoughtful alternative to traditional, high-waste floristry. From native plants grown in our pesticide-free garden to clever rental installations, we find beauty in the natural lines, the quirky shapes, and the real character of the desert.

our mission

We want to create honest joy and real inspiration for our community. Our work is guided by a respect for the desert animals and plants that make this place special. Care for the earth drives every single product we make. We promise to keep learning, asking hard questions, and finding better ways to design without leaving a heavy footprint behind.

what we value

Care for the environment is the foundation of our entire studio. We design with purposeful care by using reusable, compostable materials. We never use toxic floral foam because we want to protect this fragile landscape. Whenever we can, we gather greens and flowers directly from our own Mojave Garden. We built this garden to grow native, desert-adapted plants that support local pollinators, birds, and wildlife.

Community is the heart of our business. We partner with local flower farmers and small businesses because we believe in supporting the neighbors who inspire us. We proudly identify as an LGBTQIA+ woman-owned studio and stand as committed allies to the BIPOC community. We believe in inclusivity and celebrating diverse voices in a warm, welcoming space where all love is free to thrive.

Every arrangement we make is guided by mindfulness and joy. We respect the quiet resilience of nature, and we want to help rewrite what it means to flourish in the Mojave Desert.

our offerings

We offer organic arrangements that feel fresh from the garden. We love working with native desert plants, succulents, and dried wood flowers to build memorable designs. Whether you need custom bouquets, centerpieces, hanging installations, or boutonnieres, we have the creative pieces to help you celebrate. We also offer cacti and succulent rentals so you can enjoy the plants without the waste.

how we grow + create

Desert globemallow flowers on a shrub

We bring the desert into our designs by using plants grown right in our own backyard, the Mojave Garden. We choose species that can handle the blistering heat of summer and the freezing nights of winter. Saving water is central to our work, so we focus on plants that belong in this climate.

Our garden is a sanctuary for local wildlife. We share this soil with roadrunners, quail, hummingbirds, finches, doves, rabbits, lizards, iguanas, and red racer snakes. We compost everything we can to keep our footprint light. When our garden is resting or a specific plant is out of season, we partner with small flower farms and local markets to source the best materials.
